McKENZIE, Tenn. - Private family funeral services for Porter Cunningham, Sr.  are Saturday, January 23, 2021. Interment will follow at Reedy Creek Cemetery, McLemoresville. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the funeral home 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The family wishes for everyone to wear a mask and to practice social distance.

Mr. Cunningham, 85, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Huntingdon. He was born in Carroll Co. on February 25, 1935 to Albert and Beatrice Porter Cunningham. He was a member of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church and worked for the Milan Arsenal.

He is survived by five daughters Betty (George) Burrow, Priscilla (Fred) Brown, Unice Phillips, Mary Crawley all of McKenzie and Julie (Obie) Tharpe of Camden, three sons Ray (Regina) Cunningham of Mesquite, TX, Porter Cunningham, Jr of McKenzie and Ernest Lee (Lucille) Phillips of Champaign, IL, three sisters Pearl Fouks of Huntingdon, Arnita Jones of Jackson and Juanita Cunningham of Indianapolis, one brother James Cunningham of Indianapolis, 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 9 great-greatgrandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Verneta Cunningham, two sisters, Jereline Cunningham and Mammie Milton and three brothers, Mickey Cunningham, Sam Cunningham and Roger Cunningham.
