Reggie Lawrence

HUNTINGDON, Tenn.  - Funeral services for Mr. Reggie Lawrence are Monday, August 30, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 29, 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Monday 10 a.m. until service time. Brother Dennis Trull is the officiant and following cremation burial is at Fodge Cemetery.

Mr. Lawrence, 74, died August 25, 2021 at his residence.

He is a retired grocer and banker, a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church and the Jaycees. He is a former Rotarian and Boy Scouts leader a graduate of McKenzie High School, class of  1965 and a graduate of Bethel College.

He was born in McKenzie on February 7, 1947 to Barney Joseph and Wynona Elizabeth Verdell Lawrence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Charlene Goodrich, Elizabeth Sims and Evangeline Hilliard Worrell, and brothers, Jamie Lawrence, Vernon "Pee Jacket" Lawrence and Ronnie "Red" Lawrence.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Marie Carter Lawrence, two sons, Benjie (Nicole) Lawrence and Jonathan (Jeannine) Lawrence, five grandchildren, Morgan (Cordon) Hight, Jack Lawrence, Magnolia Lawrence, Owen Lawrence and Corrie Lawrence, one great-grandson, Colden Hight and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to McKenzie Library or The Rich Family Relay for Life team (Huntingdon).

Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
