HUMBOLDT - Funeral services for Rev. Orvind Dangeau, age 97, are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel, Humboldt with burial to follow in Barnishaw Cemetery in Pinetree, Ark. at 3 PM. Visitation with the family is Monday, 4 to 7 p.m. in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Dangeau, a retired Baptist minister and Navy veteran, died Friday, January 10, 2020 at his home. He was a minister at First Baptist Church-McKenzie.

Rev. Dangeau was preceded in death by his first wife, Freddie Ann (Porter) and his second wife, Franchelle (Jordan), a son, Charles Merritt Dangeau, three sisters, Marie Donavant, Muriel Chalk, and Retha Bounds, and two brothers, Orville and Newman Dangeau.

Rev. Dangeau is survived by a daughter, Marcia Gail Garrett of Olive Branch, Miss., a step-daughter, Brenda Hill of Jackson, Tenn., two step-sons, Larry Franklin of Rogersville, Tenn. and Wayne Franklin of Columbia, Tenn., a brother, Leroy Dangeau of Wynne Ark., nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
