Carroll County Students Receive Scholarships from UT Martin

MARTIN (July 26) — Two Carroll County Students have been awarded scholarships to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin for the 2022-23 academic year, according to Dr. James Mantooth, executive director, Office of Enrollment Services and Student Engagement. 
 
Brandon McCaig, of Bruceton, son of Homer and Kelly McCaig, received the Achieve Scholarship. The scholarship is $500 per academic year and is awarded to in-state students maintaining a 2.75 GPA at the end of each spring semester. McCaig is an incoming freshman.
 
Jake Stokes, of Huntingdon, son of Richard and Tracy Stokes, received the Parker Agricultural Scholarship and the Achieve Scholarship. The Parker Agricultural Scholarship is awarded to students majoring in agriculture with a 2.5 GPA or higher. Stokes is an incoming sophomore.
