Stabbing — The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the recent stabbing of a McKenzie man during a May 5 domestic incident at a McKenzie residence.
According to the report by Deputy Jackie Wallace, deputies responded to a call about a possible stabbing at 220 Lowe Lane. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with Mackenzie Mauch, 19, who said that she and her boyfriend, Frank Dylan Quigg, 29, had gotten into a physical altercation. She said that at one point Quigg had gotten on top of her and she was struggling to get him off. She said she pulled a knife out of her back pocket, stabbed Quigg at least twice in his side, and then ran to a neighbor’s residence for help. Quigg was transported by ambulance to a local medical center and then flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, where he was treated for his injuries and released later that day. No charges had been filed at the time of the report.
Simple Assault — Jesse Linville Young, 28, of 7223 Buena Vista Road, Huntingdon, was charged with simple assault following an April 30 incident at a Huntingdon residence.

According to the report by Deputy Christopher Adams, he responded to a call about a domestic situation at a residence on Buena Vista Road. Young’s mother told Adams her son had come up behind her and pushed her down and then threatened her with a vase. She also told the deputy her cat was missing and she had found bones in the fireplace.
Theft from Vehicles — There were three separate reports made on April 30 regarding items being stolen from vehicles at three different residences on Tate Loop Road near Huntingdon.
Jacob Cunningham told deputies someone entered two unlocked vehicles parked in his driveway and took several items, including $445 in cash, two sets of vehicle keys with computer chips valued together at $800, a Dell laptop computer valued at $1,200, a cell phone valued at $500, and a Bank of America credit card. Joyce Sullivan told deputies someone took $10 in coins, a knife valued at $10, and a GPS system valued at $120 from her unlocked car. Tommie Hall told deputies a GPS unit valued at $150, CDs valued at $150, $9 in change, a dog hunting collar value at $100, and a quart of oil valued at $14, a flashlight, various hand tools, two boxes of 20-gauge shotgun shells, and an insurance card were stolen from unlocked vehicles parked in his driveway.
Burglary — It was reported on April 30 someone broke into the residence at 6461 Smyrna Road by kicking in the back door. Reported as stolen were a snub-nose revolver with a silver grip valued at $300, an LG flip phone, and a Marvel Black Panther coloring box.
