Assault — Terry Lee Watford, 55, of 17 Francis Avenue, Atwood, was charged with simple assault on July 5.

According to the report by Deputy Christopher Adams, he responded to Francis Avenue after receiving a call about a woman being beaten up by her boyfriend. Adams made contact with the female victim, who had a bleeding cut on her head and other injuries. She told Adams that on July 4, Watford (her ex-boyfriend) snuck up behind her at her residence and hit her on the hand with an unknown object, possibly a crowbar or a broom handle. She said Watford pushed her down earlier that day. Adams made contact with Watford, who said that he suspects that the female victim is going to kill him for insurance money. Adams noted that Watford smelled of an alcoholic beverage.

Theft — Dakotha Cameron of Huntingdon told deputies on July 6 that someone took the registration plate off his vehicle and replaced it with another plate while his vehicle was parked on Fesmier Road some time between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on July 5.

License, Registration Violations — Channon Lee Williams, 46, of Camden was charged with driving on a revoked license (fourth offense), violation of registration, and violation of light law during a July 9 traffic stop in Hollow Rock.

Deputy Scotty Davis reported that he pulled over a vehicle driven by Williams on Highway 114 due to a light law violation. A computer check showed that Williams’ license was revoked and that the vehicle was registered to a Puryear man.
