Domestic Violence — John Thomas Self, 39, of Trezevant was charged with Domestic Violence on Feb. 2 by Deputy Sgt. Steven D. Scott.
Sgt. Scott responded to a domestic call on Big Buck Rd. where he met with the victim who said John Self had been beating and choking her for the past week. He had hit her and head-butted her. She had two black eyes and marks consistent with someone being choked and a contusion on her forehead.
Break-in at Yuma — On Feb. 4 at 7:47 p.m., Deputy Chance M. Townes answered a call to a break-in at 3300 Highway 22 at Yuma.
The resident advised she had left on Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. and returned about midnight and noticed that the dog was in the front yard. Inside she noticed that in her son’s bedroom, there was glass outside like it had been broken. She assumed that someone had gone through the front door and the dog had scared whoever it was and they ran into the bedroom to get away and broke the window to get away. This is not the first time this has happened. She did not notice anything missing.
Simple Assault — Jeremy Vinyard, 35, of Milan was arrested for Simple Assault following an incident in Atwood on the parking lot of Oasis Convenience Store on Feb. 4.
Oscar Seiber, 44, Atwood, told deputies Daniel J. Thomas and Sean Bongiovanni that Vinyard began to yell and cuss at him and his wife. Sieber alleged that Vinyard approached him and swung at him, but missed. Sieber then said he put Vinyard in a headlock, stating he did not want to fight. They fell to the ground and as Sieber was trying to get back up, Vinyard kicked him in the head with his steel toe boot. Sieber said that Vinyard got up and went to his truck and grabbed a tire tool. Seiber then left in his vehicle.
Domestic Assault — Jeremy L. Goode, 34, of Trezevant was arrested for Domestic Assault on Feb. 5 following a statement from the female victim. 29.
Deputy Sean Bongiofanni and two other deputies went to Highway 105. They spoke to the victim who said Jeremy Goode had assaulted her. She said Goode forcefully attempted to remove her from her bed. She left the bedroom and went into the living room where Goode entered and pushed her by her face onto the floor and informed her that if she called the law, he would kill her and her child. He then left the residence.
Domestic Assault — Deputy Jeremy Smith investigated a domestic assault case on Feb. 6 on Westport Rd. reported by a female victim, who said Bruce Brown 50, had grabbed her arm, shoved her and threw her on the bed. She had bruising on her right arm.
Brown told the deputy that nothing happened. He was uncooperative with the officer.
Drugs/Narcotics Investigation — Michael Todd Robertson, 23, of Hollow Rock was charged with the felony of Possession of Schedule II Methamphetamine on Feb. 8, by Deputy Sean Bongiovanni.
The deputy observed a black Acura sedan traveling eastbound on Hwy. 70, passing Grooms Rd. in Hollow Rock. He noticed the driver failed to maintain his lane of travel into the westbound lane. A traffic stop was initiated on Kee Street. It was observed that Robertson opened the car door and placed a cigarette pack on the ground. The deputy picked up the cigarette pack which contained approximately 7.6 grams of a substance that field tested positive as Methamphetamine.
