On May, 24, 2024, Eric Brewer pulled into the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office at a high rate of speed almost striking the building. He then went inside claiming that someone was trying to kill him. Once deputies arrived, they found that the vehicle he was driving was owned by Dennis Bush. After making contact with Mr. Bush, he stated that nobody should be driving the truck, and it should be parked inside his shop at Dunn Rd. Brewer stated that he stole the truck and shot someone at his residence. Deputies went to the residence and found the door standing open and noticed a 20-gauge shotgun on the floor, also found where he had fired a shot from the shotgun through the side door of his home striking the side part of his home. There were no signs that anyone was shot at the location. Deputies also found that the gate to Mr. Bush’s shop had been driven through, causing damage to the gate and his truck.
