Report of Domestic Assault — On July 14, 2024, Carroll County deputies were dispatched to a Highway 70 address in regard to a domestic assault. Deputy Bongiovanni, Sgt. Michael Smith, Cpl. Chance Townes, Deputy Dakota Meier, and Deputy Christopher Hamer went to the scene. Deputy Bongiovanni spoke with the victim, who stated that Antonio Gonzales, 34, of Cedar Grove, had arrived at the Cedar Grove Country Store to have a custody exchange of their two children. The victim stated one of the children didn’t want to go with Gonzales. The victim said Gonzales tried to forcefully remove their daughter out of her arms and in the process shoved her to the ground. The victim and her child both sustained minor injuries including scrapes on their knees and minor red marks on the victim’s wrist. Due to the altercation, Gonzales was arrested and charged with domestic assault.

Report of Damage by Hit and Run — On July 24, 2024, Connor Beecham notified the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office that someone had hit his trailer that was attached to his truck on Larry’s Road and had damaged the trailer. Mr. Connor did state that he had unloaded his tractor to do some work when a white Ford 250 extended cab truck with a maroon work bed and box did strike his trailer bending one of the loading ramps and bending the left taillight with estimated damages of $300.00. The vehicle continued south on Larry’s Road and turned right on Highway 77 going towards Huntingdon. The driver of the truck is unknown at this time.
