Former Bethel Wildcat, Huntingdon Mustang on Showboats Roster

Posted

MEMPHIS – Professional football returned to Memphis with the Memphis Showboats playing their first game this past weekend with the USFL 2023 season getting underway at historic Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

Two area players are included on the roster.

Former Bethel Wildcat Karrheem Darrington was a part of that history as a defensive back on the Showboat roster. Sadarius Hutcherson, 25, was part of the defensive line. Hutcherson is a Huntingdon High School graduate and was part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The former cornerback for the Wildcats remains tied for fourth place in career interceptions (11) at Bethel. Six of those were in 2016 when he was named second-team all-conference.

The Showboats play a 10-week regular season, followed by two weeks of playoffs.
