TCAT-McKenzie Celebrates SkillsUSA Week

Posted

Tennessee College of Applied Technology McKenzie celebrated SkillsUSA week on February 3-7 with some friendly competition between the programs.
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industries working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce.

A favorite among the programs is the Door Decorating Competition. Students design and build a SkillsUSA themed display to fit on their door. The doors are then judged by staff.
Automotive Technology, led by instructor Dan Townsend, came in first place receiving a donut party and 1,000 pennies to go towards the program in the Penny Drive Competition.
The Automotive door decoration was completed as a class effort.
