TCAT Students Help with Second Harvest Food Mobile Pantry

Posted

GREENFIELD (May 17) — Tenn. College of Applied Technology at McKenzie students and staff volunteered to help with the Mobile Food Pantry in Greenfield, sponsored by Second Harvest Food Mobile Pantry of Middle Tennessee.
The students, along with other volunteers, unloaded the truck and organized food items, then assisted in packing the food and cleaning afterward. Food was distributed to several families of the community. Second Harvest has a network of over 450 partner agencies working together to collect, sort, and distribute food and personal care products to men, women, and children throughout 46 Middle and West Tennessee counties.
The organizers and the community were grateful to the students for all their help and were thankful to TCAT McKenzie for allowing the students to take time from their classes to volunteer.
