HENRY (April 2) — A motorcyclist was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville after a one-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 79S and Van Dyke Road.
Driver Roy Wayne Nelson, 41, of Trezevant suffered serious injuries in the crash, which occurred around 5:15 p.m.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Nelson was northbound on Highway 79 and, while negotiating a left curve, his 2008 Harley traveled off the right side of the roadway.
