Tri-County Veterans Services Officers Visit Rotary

Posted

McKENZIE (July 20) — McKenzie Rotary Club’s featured speaker for July 20 was Spiros Roditis, who works for the Tennessee Department of Veterans Services.

Accompanying Roditis were county veterans service officers from Carroll, Henry and Weakley counties.

Renee Myers of Carroll, Jonathan Bolding of Henry County, and Ricky Cobb and assistant Randi Storye of Weakley.

Roditis said the county officers provide information and services for veterans and their families in the respective counties. He oversees 30 county service officers from his headquarters in Jackson.

Some of the services include medical benefits, pensions, family services, and military service records. The department also helps families with information about the five veterans cemeteries in Tennessee. It is also offered to spouses of veterans.

McKenzie Rotary Club meets at Lakeside Senior Living Community. Sandi Roditis is the club president.
