McKENZIE, Tenn. _ Funeral services for Wayne Lee Cooper, 81, are Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, 5 – 8 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home and on Thursday at the church, 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.

Mr. Cooper was born November 11, 1940, in McKenzie to Utah and Louise Neal Cooper. He was an Army veteran and a member of Grace Baptist Church, where he held the title of being a member longer than any others.

During his career he started selling fiddlesticks with the carnival, after meeting and marrying his true love, he worked as manager over the mills and lumber sales for Replogle Lumber for 55 years, and just recently he started selling fiddlesticks again for Pope Concessions.

He is survived by one brother, Charlie Cooper of McKenzie and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bobbie Orr Cooper and five brothers, Bill Cooper, Russell Cooper, Warren Cooper, Johnny Cooper and Austin Cooper.
