NASHVILLE (June 30) — According to the Tennessee Department of Health, the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee stands at 42,297 (35,553 last Monday, with 592 deaths (531 last Monday) in the year 2020.
In Carroll County, there has been one death, 31 recovered and 37 (36 last Monday). A total of 1,845 (1,769 last Monday) were diagnosed as negative.
In Henry County, 34 have recovered of 53 (36 last Monday) positive cases and 2,345 (2,240 last Monday) tested negative.
In Weakley County, there is one death in a nursing home, 34 (31 last Monday) have recovered of 58 (43 last week) positive cases and 2,107 (1,879 last Monday) tested negative.

In the United States, as of Monday, a total of 2,545,250 (2,275,645 last Monday) positive cases were reported in 2020 with 126,363 (119,923 last Monday) deaths, according to Centers for Disease Control.
The increases in cases prompted Governor Bill Lee to extend the State of Emergency related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to August 29, 2020.
The order allows the continued suspension of various laws and regulations and other measures in these orders to facilitate the treatment and containment of COVID-19 through regulatory flexibility, promoting social distancing and avoidance of large gatherings, and protecting vulnerable populations.
Gov. Lee also signed Executive Order Nos. 51 and 52, which extend provisions that allow for electronic government meetings subject to transparency safeguards and remote notarization and witnessing of documents, respectively, to August 29, 2020.
