West Carroll Takes Two Against Clarksburg

ATWOOD (January 10) — West Carroll Lady War Eagles and War Eagles took victory over the visiting Clarksburg teams on Friday. The Lady War Eagles won 44 to 33 over Clarksburg.
Clarksburg took a 12 to 7 first quarter lead but a low-scoring second and third quarter with scores of 4 and 2 respectively could not be overcome in the fourth quarter, when the ladies scored 15.
West Carroll Lady War Eagles scored 7 in the first, 15, 10 and 12 in the respective following quarters.

Tatym Keymon led West Carroll with 13 points. Macey Cunningham added 11 including two 3s. Amaya Thompson had 7, Alyssa Butler had 5, including one 3, Mia Jones had 6, and Erin Norman had 2.
Clarksburg was led by Ashlyn Yarbrough with 13, Jasmine Bailey with 9, Makiya Abdallah with 7, and Sami Roney and Sarah Derryberry with 2 each.
In the nightcap, West Carroll War Eagles took a 76 to 47 victory over Clarksburg Rockets. The War Eagles had 23 in the first, 19 in the second, and 24 and 10 in the third and fourth quarters. Colton Hart led the scoring with 22, including two 3s, followed by Jalen Anglin with 12, Josh Clark with 9, JaQuan Adkins with 8, including two 3s, Jaden Taylor with six, including two 3s, Jeremiah Bryant with 6, Tyler Johnson with 4, Jack Barrow with 4,, Jed Robinson with 3 on a field goal, Andrew Huff with 2.
Clarksburg Rockets scored 8, 19, 5, and 15 respectively in the quarters. Tanner Longmire lead the Rockets’ scoring with 12, including four 3s, Jalyn Davis scored 10, including one 3, Stefan Gilber scored 9, including one 3, Myles Rogers scored 5, Brandon Pendergrass scored 4, Tristan Donth scored 4, and Rian Johnson scored 3 on a three-pointer.
