DYERSBURG - Helen "Hun" Frances Pate Vick, 85, of Dyersburg, Tenn., died Monday, September 3, 2018 at her residence.

She was born on June 27, 1933, in McKenzie, Tenn., to the late Johnnie and Nell Pate. Helen was a homemaker, an avid baker and phenomenal cook. She loved sewing, crafting, gardening and serving other people, but most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. From 1975-1985, Helen and her husband, George owned the Q-Mart Convenience Stores. She was a 61-year member of the First United Methodist Church in Dyersburg.

Services were 11 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed White, Rev. Andy Fisher and Mr. Tim Vickofficiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Tim Vick and wife, Joy, of Dyersburg; a brother, Bobby Pate and wife, Gloria, of McKenzie; two grandsons, Tyler Vick and wife, Tara, and Kyle Vick and wife, Meaganne; two great-grandchildren, Nate Vick and Addie Kate Vick; and four nephews, Jeremy Pate, Joel Pate, Danny Pate and Jerry Pate.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Nathan Vick; a brother, James M. Pate; and a niece, Ann Pate.  

Pallbearers were Tim Vick, Tyler Vick, Kyle Vick, Bobby Pate, Rhett McIntosh and Eddie Shults. Honorary pallbearers were Kelly Puckett, Rick Crawford, Jeremy Pate, Joel Pate, Danny Pate and Jerry Pate.

Memorials may be directed to the Youth Ministry Fund at First United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
