KNOXVILLE (June 14- 17) — 4-H Academic Conference is a 4-H STEM event held on the campus of UT Knoxville every summer. Students from all over the state of Tennessee submit applications and are selected to attend the conference, based on their project work. The purpose of 4-H Academic Conference is to recognize outstanding 4-Hers who are actively involved in various projects, provide academic training related to the 4-Hers project areas, meet other 4-Hers from across the state, and experience life on a college campus. more
MARTIN — Several Carroll County students received degrees from the University of Tennessee at Martin during spring commencement ceremonies May 6 and 7, 2022. UT Martin hosted three in-person commencements to promote safety for graduates and their families while recognizing the class of spring 2022’s accomplishments. Each commencement was live-streamed via Facebook and YouTube for those unable to attend. more
HUNTINGDON (April 16) — Carroll County Relay For Life teams, spearheaded by the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Carroll County’s Relay Team hosted the Celebrity Waiter Dinner to raise funds to benefit the American Cancer Society. more

The McKenzie Garden Club gathered at the McKenzie CP Church for their first meeting of 2024, celebrated with an add-a-dish luncheon. The meeting began with a devotional offered by member Robin Bentley. more
The McKenzie High School Class of 1959 celebrated their 63rd year reunion on Saturday, October 15, at the Wildwood Wedding and Events venue in McKenzie. more
HUNTINGDON — Equestrian by Cachengo hosted its grand opening on Saturday, April 22, 2023, noon to 3 p.m. at its new location on Industrial Drive in Huntingdon. A ribbon-cutting event was hosted by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. more
Lula Mae Hall, the eldest of ten children, was born on November 10, 1928, to the late David and Luella (Bell) Hall, in the small, mighty town of McLemoresville, Tennessee. more

McKENZIE — Senior Director of Athletics, Brad Chappell announced Friday at the Annual Jerry Wilcoxson Memorial Golf Tournament, Ricky Rosenjack is also being inducted into the Bethel Athletic Hall of Fame as a contributor. Rosenjack joins Alicia James and Leah Hensley Cripps in the class of 2022.  more

HUNTINGDON (June 17) — The Hal Holbrook Theater was full with a very appreciative audience on Friday, June 17. They were there for a return performance of multi-platinum entertainer Sara Evans. Evans was reared in a small Missouri community and quickly identified with small-town life. She provided a vibrant concert filled with her many hits. more
