JACKSON (October 20) — BlueOval City, a manufacturing campus with Ford Motor Company and SK Battery, will transform West Tennessee, according to a public/news conference at the Jackson Fairgrounds on Thursday. Ford is investing $5.6 billion for the local manufacturing plants and a total of $11 billion in both west Tennessee and Kentucky. more
McKENZIE (October 11) — What was expected to be a debate between the two candidates for the office of mayor of McKenzie resulted in only one candidate attending. Mayor Jill Holland challenged challenger Ryan Griffin to debate the issues of the race, however, Griffin did not respond to the invitation and was not present at the Park Theatre venue. more
McKENZIE (October 13) — Two local police officers were promoted by new Police Chief Ryan White. The chief announced the promotions during the October 13 meeting of the McKenzie Mayor and Council. more

HUNTINGDON (October 10) — A joint investigation by special agents with the Drug Investigation Division of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Huntingdon Police Department, and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of two individuals on various drug counts. more
ATWOOD (October 6) — West Carroll Special School District Board of Education approved the Fiscal Year 22-23 budget, that began on July 1, 2022. Preston Caldwell, director of schools, said he waited until the three new board members took office before addressing the budget. more
McKENZIE (October 4) — On Tuesday evening, the City of McKenzie held a special called meeting where Ryan White’s interim tag was removed making him the chief of police. White, a 21-year veteran of the McKenzie Police Department, has served as the interim chief of police since September 17 following the sudden retirement of Craig Moates. more
HENRY (October 8) — Saturday, at approximately 1 p.m., Henry Police Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Henry County EMS, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to Highway 79 South, and Mockingbird Avenue to a motorcycle accident with injuries.  more
