HUNTINGDON  Mrs. Barbara McLain, 71, of Huntingdon, died Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at her home.  

Funeral services are Friday, February 9, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Martin is officiating. Burial will follow in Carter’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m., and Friday, 10 a.m. until the time of the services.

Mrs. McLain was born August 29, 1952 in McLemoresville, Tennessee to the late Albert Eugene and Betty Jane Robinson Biggart. She graduated from the Huntingdon High School Class of 1970, was a member of Carter’s Chapel Church, and was an office manager for the Tennessee Republican newspaper. She retired from Baptist Home Health and Hospice with over 20 years of service. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Deborah Ann Biggart and Karen Tucker.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harold McLain Jr., a daughter, Denise Loggains (Joe) of Huntingdon, a son, Harold Huston McLain, III, of Trezevant, a brother, Doug Biggart (Andrea) of Westport, three grandchildren, West and Amber Loggains and Kacee Chaney (Sean), and one great-grandchild, Kaiden Chaney.
