HUNTINGDON - Bonnie Jean King Staten, 83, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Thursday, February 2, 2023 at AHC McKenzie in McKenzie, Tennessee. Visitation was Friday, February 8, 2023 with the funeral following at Smyrna Baptist Church, 1950 Smyrna Rd. Huntingdon. Interment was at Carroll Co. Memorial Gardens. Trinity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Bonnie was born September 4, 1939 in Huntingdon to the parents, Charlie and Christner Willis King. She grew up in the Smyrna Community and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. Bonnie was employed by Wilson Clinic for over 35 years.

She was married to the love of her life, Bobie Staten on September 17, 1982, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by both of her parents, brother, Bobby Jean King, sisters, Nadien (Joe) Parker, Virgie Mae (F.T.) Chapple, Rylean (Carvene) Jamison and Dorothy Faye King, step-grandsons, Justin Hampton, Tristian Townes and special friend, Mather Pearson.

She is survived by a devoted daughter, Retha Ann Kling (Charles Johnson), step-daughters, Lorrie Ann Johnson and Donna (Mark) Thomas, grandchildren, Toni Rena Whittico, Raven (Terry) Macon, Charisma Johnson, Brandon Pearson, Martez Hampton, Deja Williams, great-grandchildren, Kaden King, Ashtin Johnson, Ayla Johnson, Addyson Hampton, siblings, Charlie Lee King, Jessie Mae Jamison, Eva Mae Carter, Marilyn (Danny) Johnson, Mack (Jeareitha) King, al of Huntingdon, Tn., Leon King of Bay City , MI., Wanda McKinnie, Jackson, Tenn., Rosalyn (James) Milam, McKenzie, Tn, Mike (Pandora) King, Lexington, Tenn., a host of other relatives and friends, Special thanks to caregivers Rosalyn Milam, sister, Francis Hart and AHC in McKenzie.
