Boo Bash Planned for McKenzie Town Square

McKENZIE — On Thursday, October 26, 2023, the City of McKenzie and Bethel University will partner to bring the annual Boo Bash event to the McKenzie town square for the 10th year.

The Boo Bash will open with Trunk or Treating at 5:30 p.m. Prizes will be given for the best decorated trunk among the student organizations, businesses, and individuals giving out candy during the Trunk or Treat.

A costume contest will begin at 6 p.m. on the stage on Banner Row. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Tiny Terrors (ages 0 to 2 years), Small Spooks (ages 3 to 5 years), Middle Monsters (ages 6 to 9 years), Older Ogres (ages 10 to 14 years), and Fearsome Families.

In addition to these events, participants can enjoy haunted train rides, photo ops, bounce houses, goblins galore, and more. The City of McKenzie will serve meals consisting of a hot dog, chips, and a drink for $4. Bethel University will serve make-your-own s’mores and caramel apples for $3 each. Cash is required for purchases.
