Charles Audrain Wooters

HUNTINGDON - Mr. Charles Audrain Wooters, 89, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Monday, August 21, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Funeral services were Thursday, August 24, 2023  in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Brooks Jackson officiating.  Interment followed in Twin Oaks Cemetery.

Mr. Wooters was born July 12, 1934 in Huntingdon, Tennessee, to the late David B and Verda Lena (Mann) Wooters.   He worked for the State of Tennessee in the Forestry Division and was a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ. He served in the military for 26 years with the Navy and the National Guard.  Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Lee Wooters, who passed away March 25, 2018, a sister, Arlene Wilkes, and a brother, Jerry Wooters.

He is survived by one son, Greg Wooters (Michele) of Huntingdon, one daughter, Kathy Jackson (Charles) of Rockvale, two sisters, Betty Thompson of Huntingdon, Carol Wentworth of Petersburg, Virginia and one brother, Glenn Wooters of Shelbyville, Kentucky.  He also leaves four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
