County Commission Meeting is Monday

The Carroll County Commission meets Monday, January 8 with the following items on the agenda:

Resolution 1-01-2024 – the reappointments of Keith Priestley and Nichole Lawrence to the Carroll County Industrial Development Board.

Resolution 1-02-2024 – authorizing the submittal of an application to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development for the Small Cities Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The Rural Fire Committee and Budget Committee wishes to apply for the grant in an amount not to exceed $420,000 to implement improvements with a local commitment match at 15% of the project cost, with the match rate being determined by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. The funds would purchase emergency protective and fire prevention equipment for the county’s rural fire departments.

Resolution 1-03-2024 – authorizing the submittal of an application to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development for Connected Community Facilities (CCF) Program. The grant would go to the Civic Center for renovations, upgrades and the modernize campus. The amount requested would not exceed $2,000,000 with a local commitment funds match of 10%.

Resolution 1-04-2024 – amends the General Fund Budget and Highway Fund Budget for Fiscal Year 2023-24.

The Commission meets in the conference room at the County Complex in Huntingdon at 7 p.m.
