Funeral services for James "Jimmy" Allen Brown are Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. and on Thursday 9 a.m. until service time. Interment is at Shiloh Cemetery and Brother Alan Trull is the officiant.

Pallbearers for the service are Cody Brown, Andrew Webb, Brice Webb, Landon Brown, Kason Brown, Braxton Sulock and Avery Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Stephen Brown, Lillian Brown, Jackson Brown, Margaret Webb, Easton Webb, Bennett Webb and Hazel Webb.

Mr. Brown, 81, a licensed livestock dealer and jack of all trades, died Monday, December 26, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born in McKenzie on July 1, 1941 to Rufus Lee and Mary Nell Allen Brown. 

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sarah Ann Mebane Brown, a daughter, Marcia (Tracy) Webb, a son, James Allen (Tonya) Brown, II, all of McKenzie, a sister, Kay Brown of Gleason, six grandchildren, Stephen (Jamie) Brown, Cody (Meagan) Brown, Andrew (Josie) Webb, Brice (Allison) Webb, Landon Brown and Kason Brown, and eight great-grandchildren Braxton Sulock, Avery Brown, Lillian Brown, Jackson Brown, Margaret Webb, Easton Webb, Bennett Webb and Hazel Webb.

Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
