Patricia Murphy Freeland, 65, died unexpectedly from this earthly life on Saturday. August 12, 2023.

She was born on May 4, 1958, in McKenzie Tennessee, the daughter of JC and IZ (Matheny) Murphy. Patricia graduated from Huntington High School, Class of 1977. She served in the United States Navy Reserves 1990-1998 as an E4 officer. Then, she completed her Bachelor's Degree at Bethel University and finished her MBA at Union University in December of 2008.

Patricia retired as a farm loan officer from Farm Bureau Soil Conservation of Robertson County. She then worked part-time as an accountant.  In  retirement, Patricia dedicated her life to the Lord as a young teen, at First Baptist Church, Huntingdon, Tenn. 

She lived her life in a strong Christian faith. Her happiest moments were spent being a Grann to her three precious granddaughters, Shyann, Jaycee and Ella Jean. She enjoyed thrift shopping and spending time with family and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, JC and IZ (Matheny) Murphy. She is survived by her two sons, Jessie (Chelsea) Freeland of Nashville Tenn., John (Shellie) Freeland of Greenbrier Tenn.,  three granddaughters, Shyann Lynn Freeland, Jaycee Dean Freeland and Ella Jean Freeland, and one sister, Pasty Baker of Milan, Tenn.

A host of nieces and nephews and her best friend and companion of eight years, her border collie, Bo. Memorial services are September 9, 2023- 11 a.m. at New CrossRoads Baptist Church, 2110 Long Rock Church Road, Huntingdon Tenn. 38344.  +
