Expungement and Resource Clinic

Do you qualify for a fresh start? Tennessee law provides a process to remove certain misdemeanor crimes and some low-level, non-violent felonies from your record. The process is called expunction. Arrests that never led to convictions and dismissed charges are also eligible for expungement. Take advantage of the Expungement and Resource Clinic; Saturday, May 20, 2023, beginning at 10 a.m. Driver’s License Reinstatement Requirements will also be available upon request. Important requirements to consider before applying: 1. If you were convicted of or pled guilty to three or more crimes arising from separate criminal events, then you cannot have any conviction expunged. 2. All fi nes, court fees and restitution must be paid. 3. At least fi ve (5) years have elapsed since the completion of the jail or probated sentence. 4.
