WAYNESBORO (May 9-10) — The McKenzie Rebels are Region 6A Baseball Tournament champions after two big wins. On Friday, they defeated Perry County 9-2. Saturday, they topped Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central 12-0. The tournament was hosted by Wayne County High School.
MARTIN (May 7) — The Huntingdon High School Mustangs claimed the District 12A Soccer Tournament championship Wednesday with a thrilling, 1-0 win over McKenzie.

MARTIN (May 5) — The McKenzie High School Rebels traveled Monday to face Union City in a District 12A Soccer semifinal and claimed a 3-1 win to advance to Wednesday's championship game.

Mustangs Advance to Title Game with Overtime Win, Secure Sectional Appearance

HUNTINGDON (May 13) — Huntingdon High School hosted Cheatham County Tuesday night for a Region 6A Soccer Tournament semifinal and claimed a 3-1 win in overtime to advance to the championship game. The victory also secured a sectional appearance for the Mustangs.

KINGSTON SPRINGS (May 12) — The Huntingdon Fillies traveled to Harpeth High School for a Region 6AA Softball Tournament semifinal Monday against Cheatham County. The Fillies defeated the Lady Cubs 6-4 to advance to the championship game and secure a sectional appearance.
KINGSTON SPRINGS (May 9-10) — The Huntingdon Mustangs are Region 6AA Baseball Tournament Champions after two dominant shutout wins. On Friday, they defeated Hickman County 13-0. Saturday, they topped Stewart County 14-0. The tournament was hosted by Harpeth High School.
CAMDEN (May 9) — The Huntingdon Fillies are the District 12AA Softball Tournament runner-up following a 6-2 loss to Camden Friday.

Rebels Shut Out Tigers in Opener

McKENZIE (May 2) — McKenzie High School hosted the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers Friday to begin the District 12A Soccer Tournament. The Rebels took a 9-0 win to advance to the semifinals on Monday, where they faced Union City in Martin after The Banner's press deadline.

McKENZIE (May 4) — McKenzie High School hosted its annual basketball banquet Sunday afternoon in the school cafeteria. Players, coaches, managers, cheerleaders, family and other supporters gathered to celebrate the successes and hard work of the season.

Rebels Top Irish in Opening Round, 7-2

McEWEN (April 30) — The McKenzie High School Rebels faced Houston County Wednesday in the opening round of the District 12A Baseball Tournament. A two-run home run in the first inning by Tate Surber set the tone for a 7-2 Rebel win.

Lady Rebels Fall to Waverly on Senior Night

McKENZIE (April 29) — McKenzie High School softball hosted Waverly Tuesday and celebrated Senior Night. The Lady Tigers scored in each inning for a 13-0 win.

Rebels Get Senior Day Win, Lady Rebels Fall to Greenfield

McKENZIE (April 28) — McKenzie High School tennis hosted Greenfield Monday and celebrated Senior Day. The Rebels earned a 1-0 win while the Lady Rebels were defeated 6-1. Prior to the match, Coach Dru Emerson recognized seniors Caleb Burke and Kyla Beveridge, along with Alex Garcia, a junior international exchange student who will not be returning next year.

Rebels Defeat Tigers, 8-0

HUNTINGDON (April 25) — The Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers hosted McKenzie Friday at the Kelley Sports Complex for a district soccer match. The Rebels shut out the Tigers 8-0 for the win.
