Area Teams Rank High in Latest Poll
From the Sep 2, 2025 e-EditionNASHVILLE (September 1) — Several area teams are ranked highly in the latest poll by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association and the USA Today Network.
McKenzie (1-1) is the unanimous number one in Class 1A after a big win over Dresden, moving ahead of South Pittsburg (0-1), who lost their season opener Friday. Dresden (0-2) sits at number eight.
In Class 2A, Milan (2-0) is ranked number two behind Marion County (2-0), while Huntingdon (2-0) is fourth. Milan and Huntingdon meet Friday night to begin region play.
Westview (1-0) is the unanimous number one in Class 3A.
