From the Nov 25, 2025 e-EditionHUNTINGDON, Tenn. — Mr. Atlas Truman Langford Jr., 96, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Wednesday November 19, 2025 at his home.
Funeral services were Friday, November 21, 2025 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment was at Carroll Memorial Gardens. Brother Jacob Harris officiating.
Mr. Langford was born on November 7, 1929, to the late Atlas Truman Langford, Sr. and Alice Naomi Rhodes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Clois Montgomery Rhodes; one sister, Beverly Lucille (Dickie) Morford; two nephews, Larry Don Morford and Rocky Schexnayder and one brother-in-law, Chuck Schexnayder. Atlas was a member of Huntingdon First Baptist Church for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judy Fay Langford of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one half-sister, Patsy Jean Schexnayder of Panama City, Florida; two nieces, Rachel Teresa (Charlie) Ragan of Memphis, Tennessee and Angela (Tim) Jackson of Jackson, Tennessee; three nephews, Rick (Nannette) Morford of Erin, Tennessee, Randy Morford of Decaturville, Tennessee and Monte Morford of Jackson, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Duane (Patti) Besherse of Hale Center, Texas and sister-in-law Hazel (Tim) Pierce of Nashville, Tennessee.
