Grandmother Killed, Grandson Injured in ATV Accident

PARIS — Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey reported that an ATV ride with a grandmother and grandchild turned tragic Friday when there was an accident with the ATV striking an outbuilding.

The grandmother, Holly Sciarpelletti, age 55, was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the four-year-old grandson was transferred to a Nashville area hospital.

According to Frey, Henry County EMS and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to 725 Albert Brown Lane in Paris for a call of an ATV accident.

“At the scene, first responders found that a four-year-old grandson and his grandmother were riding an ATV and had struck an outbuilding. The four-year-old was taken by ambulance to the Henry County Medical Center before being transferred to a Nashville area hospital. The grandmother, Holly Sciarpelletti, age 55, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
