From the Apr 9, 2024 e-EditionHenry, Tenn. -- Barbara Carol Malone Priddy, age 62 of Henry, TN, died Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.
She was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Barbara formerly worked at Mar-Kel, Holley Carburetor, Union Planters, the Paris Post-Intelligencer, Drake Atwood, and several other places of business in Henry County. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, and scrapbooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Barbara was born June 21, 1961, in Paris, TN, to the late Edward “CE” Malone and the late Helen Veniece Lawrence Malone.
She was married July 7, 1979, to Charles Thomas “Tommy” Priddy, who survives, of Henry, TN.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by her two daughters, Shelby (Joe) Chapman of Henry, TN, and Stephanie Priddy of Henry, TN; one sister-in-law, Mary Malone of Henry, TN; three grandchildren, Emma Jo Chapman, Levi Edward Chapman, and Helen Grace Chapman; two nieces, Jennifer (Joe) Brown, and Amanda (Bobby) Swayne; and one nephew, James (Kimberly) Malone.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Carlton Malone.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Johnny Wall officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Chapman, Ralph Suratt, Johnny Lee, Lucas Brown, Joe Brown, and Bobby Swayne. Named as an honorary pallbearer is Randy Futrell.
Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery in Paris, TN.
