Beauty Consultant Delivers Gifts to Local Nursing Homes
From the Dec 16, 2025 e-Edition
Santa Claus isn’t the only person delivering presents for the holidays. Residents of several local nursing homes were surprised with gifts from Mary Kay Beauty Consultant Judy Mehan, thanks to her Adopt a Grandparent at a Nursing Home project.
Mehan, of Martin, delivered over 300 gifts to residents in nursing homes and assisted living centers in Weakley, Obion and Carroll counties — including The Waters of McKenzie. This project, now in its nineteenth year, is meant to remind each recipient that he or she is remembered and valued.
“None of this would be possible without the support of local businesses and residents who sponsored gifts,” said Mehan. She thanked them all for their partnership.
Along with a gift, each resident receives a card with the names of everyone who contributed and the towns they reside in. She advised the residents, their families and the staff to read the card so they are sure to recognize businesses that they patron and names of family or friends.
Mehan’s goal is to bring joy and gifts to local nursing centers every Christmas.
