From the Nov 12, 2024 e-EditionYUMA, Tenn. - Mr. Ben Presely Owens, 93, of Yuma, Tennessee died peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his home.
Funeral services are Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Pastor John D. Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery Parkers Crossroads
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service
Mr. Owens was born December 17, 1931, in Clarksburg, Tennessee to the late Columbus and Etta Mae Owens.
He is survived by his wife, Vella M. (Jamison) Owens, two brothers-in-law, Henry Williams and Dwayne Jamison, a sister-in-law, Robbie Lou Owens, two children, Tiaye Owens and Presely Owens, six step-children, Dennis D. Parker, Anthen (Carly) Parker, Janoroffer R. (Donald) Gordon, Eric (Tequilla) Parker, Matthew Parker and Shantay (Addison) Kelley. He also raised two grandchildren as his own, Shominique Pearson and Zayveon Johnson, who he had a special bond with. He also leaves thirty-three grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
