Bethel University Commencement is Saturday
From the May 4, 2021 e-EditionMcKENZIE — Bethel University’s College of Arts & Sciences, College of Health Sciences and College of Professional Studies commencement ceremonies for fall 2020 and spring 2021 graduates are May 8, 10 a.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
The health and safety of the University community continue to be a top priority, so to help make commencement safe, social distancing and safety guidelines will be in place. These include seating graduates six feet apart, limiting the number of total capacity and social distancing between families in stands.
“Graduation is a celebration of a culmination of commitment, hard work and learning,” said Bethel University President Dr. Walter Butler. “Our graduates have persevered, shown resiliency and succeeded against hard times. I am thrilled that we will be able to recognize them and celebrate with them in this accomplishment.”
Each graduate is permitted to invite a limited number of guests to reduce the total capacity. Due to the limited capacity, the ceremony will be livestreamed for family and friends to still be a part of the celebration. Detailed information was sent to each graduate outlining policies and how to request tickets from the registrar. If you have questions, please contact Myra Carlock at carlockm@bethelu.edu.
Bethel University is a private, not-for-profit university affiliated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church located in McKenzie, Tenn., offering both on-campus and online courses.
