From the May 7, 2024 e-Edition
McKENZIE (May 4) — Bethel University conferred 347 degrees in associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s levels.
Bethel’s president-elect was the featured speaker. Dr. Perry Moulds will assumed the presidency as the 41st president of the University on July 1.
Moulds’ speech was entitled “Dream, Act, Serve.”
Referring a Apple Computer commercial in the 1980s, Moulds said a dream without action is a wish; without service, there’s rarely fulfillment; service creates a virtuous circle.
Many of the graduates were high school seniors in the year 2020, when the pandemic interrupted much of the their final year of high school and their first year of college.
Dr. Robert Watkins, interim president, presented each graduate a diploma as the candidate crossed the elevated platform to be recognized for their most recent accomplishment.
