Bethel, Eastside FCE Met
From the Mar 11, 2025 e-EditionNine members met for the February 13 meeting in the lovely home of Mary and Pennye Mays.
The meeting was called to order by our president, Gail Eubanks.
Thought for the Day was read, followed by reading the club pledge in unison.
Devotion was given by the hostess, as well as Gail Eubanks, ending with the Lord’s Prayer.
New business: It was decided the club would take a trip to Big Cyprus Park on a Saturday in May, to be discussed at the next meeting.
Months were assigned to hostesses.
Gail Eubanks did the program on common household items that are dangerous to children. Cleaners can look like Gatorade. Things we carry in a purse or backpack can also be harmful. Examples are: jewelry, toothpaste, coins, batteries and lotions; all are harmful if swallowed. Some medicines look like candy or gummies.
February is Heart Month. Here are some things you can do for your heart. Take a walk; lift weights; stop drinking your calories (sodas); eat whole grains; eat a serving of fruit; down a handful of nuts; consume fish at least once a week; breathe deep; wash hands often; and finally, count your blessings!
