Bethel Graduate Gracelyn Eaves Named First Runner-Up In Miss Tennessee Volunteer

JACKSON (July 26) — Gracelyn Eaves, a graduate of Bethel University, earned the title of First Runner-Up in the Miss Tennessee Volunteer pageant held in Jackson on July 26. The 22-year-old was also recognized for having the highest grade point average among contestants and won the Lifestyle and Fitness category for the third consecutive year. She previously won the title of Miss Congeniality during her first appearance in the competition.
This marks her third participation in the pageant, having previously competed as Miss Bethel Volunteer, Miss Paris Volunteer, and this year as Miss Nashville Volunteer.
Gracelyn, a brown-eyed, brown-haired contestant, comes from a large blended family. Her mother and stepfather are Tasha and Shawn Boone. She was raised by her father, Jeff Eaves, while her biological father is of Hawaiian and Korean descent. Gracelyn is one of nine siblings.
A graduate of Houston County High School in 2021, Gracelyn graduated from Bethel University in 2024. During her time at Bethel, she held several leadership positions, including president of the Bethel University Student Government Association, as well as being crowned Miss Bethel and Miss Greek. She also achieved the highest grade point average in her major. Gracelyn participated in Bethel University’s Global Studies program, traveling to Guatemala and Italy.
Currently, Gracelyn is a student at Austin Peay State University, where she will earn her master’s degree in Public Health in December. Following her graduation, she plans to apply for admission to medical school.
Gracelyn expressed her gratitude to the people of the greater Bethel University community for their love and support during the contest, acknowledging the impact of many local residents on her growth and success.
