From the Aug 27, 2024 e-EditionMcKENZIE — The Bethel University Men’s Cross-Country team will bring back tons of experience and a team that had a very successful 2023 campaign.
Joseph Skoog returns after a record-setting year in which he was the national runner-up. Skoog broke seven school records in his first year with the Wildcats. He will look to lead the Cats in his final season.
Seniors Carson Warman, Brantly Jent and Benard Koech will bring a load of leadership to the squad. Newcomers: transfer Ryan Coley, freshman Hudon Wallace, Loukas Charalampous, and Dennis Kipkemboi could have an immediate impact for the Wildcats.
Coach Brandon Kilburn commented, “We have a great group of guys coming back and I am excited about the newcomers as well. Obviously, Joseph gets a lot of attention and deservingly so, but we have a really good chance to do some special things this season as a team. We bring back a large amount of talent and experience.
“I believe it will be very difficult to be a counting score among our top five runners and I think that will make practice as intense as it has ever been. I am really excited to see how this season will play out. “
