Bethel Women’s Cross Country 2024 Preview

McKENZIE — The Bethel University Women’ s Cross Country team will have some big shoes to fill after graduating the most decorated runner in school history in Andrea De La Rosa.

Returning sophomore Monserrat Serrano will look to improve from a fantastic freshman season and lead the Lady Cats on the course.

Seniors Allie Chappell, Madison Northern and graduate senior Mackenzie Bennett will bring back tons of experience and leadership and will be leaned on to help the team reach their potential.

The Lady Wildcats also return Junior Hailey Wallace and welcome incoming freshman Sharon Cherop and Shelci Caballero.

The Cats will look to improve off a 3 rd place finish at the Mid-South Conference Championships from last season.

Coach Brandon Kilburn said, “I am very excited to get things started with this group. We had some big losses, but we bring back some really good runners who can have a very successful season. We finished the year last really well. Last season we changed from a 5k to 6k which is roughly .6 miles further and it was an adjustment. I look forward to how we will be after having a year of the change in distance. This is a great group, and I expect us to have a very successful season. “
