Bethel/Eastside FCE February Meeting
From the Mar 3, 2026 e-EditionThere were nine members present for our February 12 meeting in the home of Pennye and Mary Mays.
The meeting was called to order by our president, and then we read the Club Creed in unison. The roll call was answered with, "What can I do to stay on track with your New Year's resolutions?"
The minutes were read and approved from our January meeting.
The treasury report was given and accepted as read. Reading lists were collected for the year 2025.
The cluster meeting, which four members attended, was discussed. One of the programs presented was on dementia. It was mentioned that we should stay active and eat a lot of fruit.
There was very little old business to discuss.
New business:
The new year book was gone through, and months were assigned for hostess and programs; plus we decided on a month to make cakes for the nursing home.
We voted to invite Macedonia FCE to meet with us at Lake Halford in May. Gail Eubanks will be the hostess that month. The meeting will be at our regular time, 4 p.m.
This year we agreed to do "Read Across America" for the Huntingdon Primary School on March 2 and Webb Head Start on March 4.
The County Council will meet April 6 in the small conference room at the County Complex.
For the Boo Baby workshop, guests were asked to arrive 30 minutes early to the March meeting. Lisa will get the eggs, and Pennye will have the washcloths.
The February program was themed for Random Acts of Kindness. And, it just happened to be National Hug Day!
Spring Rally will be scheduled sometime after the Cluster meeting on May 1.
