Bethel/Eastside FCE March Meeting
From the Mar 31, 2026 e-Edition
Five members and our lovely agent attended the Boo Boo Bunny Workshop and club meeting March 12 at the Mays home. We made 90 adorable boo boo bunnies to donate to the Huntingdon Rehab for Easter.
The meeting was called to order. Members answered the roll call question, "What do you like or dislike about spring cleaning?"
We accepted the minutes from our February meeting with no changes. The treasury report did not have many changes to our finances.
In old business, members were reminded to bring the meals in a bag to each meeting.
Gail Eubanks and Danita Laman read to seven classes at the primary school for Read Across America on March 2. They were very well received and appreciated. These women also read to pre-schoolers at Webb School in McKenzie on March 4.
We purchased six small stuffed animals for the Huntingdon Fire Department to pass out as they deem needed. We will purchase some bunnies after Easter.
Macedonia FCE was invited to share our May meeting at the lake.
Monday, April 6 is the County Council meeting. Plans for the cluster meeting on Friday, May 1 will be discussed. Bethel/Eastside will handle the breakfast for said meeting.
Spring Rally is scheduled for May 28. Macedonia is cooking and Bethel/Eastside is decorating.
Mini conference is August 12. It will be catered by Heavenly Ham.
The state conference is November 15-18 at the River Terrace Hotel and Conference Center in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
The eastern region is hosting.
We will do a fire safety workshop soon on a Saturday. The date is pending.
