Betty A. Toombs

McKENZIE, Tenn. —  Funeral services for Betty A. Toombs are on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, noon. to 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Mrs. Toombs, 85, died at her daughter's house on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She was a retired school teacher for the McKenzie Special School District.

She was born on October 11, 1940, to Wilburn Scott and Flora Gallion Scott.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Doster and Pamela (Tim) Castleman, all of McKenzie, one sister, Diane Redding of Cedar Hill, a brother, Odean (Ruby) Scott of Como, four grandchildren, Andrew Doster, Samantha Malone, Jacob Castleman, and Jonathan Castleman, and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Paul Toombs, her parents, and her brothers J.W. Scott, Ralph Scott, Doyle Scott, and Johnny Scott.
