From the Dec 23, 2025 e-EditionMcKENZIE, Tenn. — Mrs. Betty Ann Conley, 86, died at her daughter's home in Ames, Iowa, on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Funeral services for Mrs. Conley are Monday, December 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Republican Grove Cemetery, Trezevant.
Mrs. Conley worked at Milan Arsenal and was a minister's wife. She was born on May 7, 1939, in Trezevant, Tenn., to Clifton and Birdie Lee Mitchell Palmer. She attended Crossroads Baptist Church, Ames, Iowa.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Kyle) McKown of Ames, Iowa, and Keith (Fonda) Conley of McKenzie, a sister, Joan (Keaton) Webb of Milan, grandchildren, Aaron (Rachel) Conley, Constance (Jese) Rivera, Nicole (Colin) Schlindler and Conley McKown and great-grandchildren, Garrett Conley, Bryson Conley, Amari McKown and Genesis Rivera.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert “Bobby” Conley, five sisters, Cassie Wood, Mildred Palmer, Jean Sanders, Peggy Halford, and Paulette Taylor, and two brothers, Carl Palmer and Adrian Palmer.
