Elder Paul Blair is New Pastor at Union Church

Paul Blair of Cedar Grove is the new pastor of Union Primitive Baptist Church, located six miles from McKenzie on Highway 140.
He was elected during a Sunday morning conference following his sermon. He and his wife, Sonia, were also accepted as members of the congregation.
He was ordained as a minister in Sept. 2002 and was elected pastor of New Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Lexington where he served for 22 years.
He attended Delta State University and received a degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He was an occupational therapist for 31 years and retired from LeBonheur Children’s Hospital after 21 years of service.
He currently serves as a property field assessor for four counties in West Tennessee.
His wife, Sonia, has taught school for 33 years and is a current teacher at Milan Elementary School where she has taught for 25 years. She graduated with a teaching degree from Delta State University in 1989.
They also own BeBe’s Biscuit Food Truck and enjoy serving homemade biscuits, locally sourced meats, and other homemade breakfast items in local communities.
The couple has two children, Hannah Stewart of Lavinia and Drew Blair of Hixon.
Hannah and her husband, Colton Stewart, have two children, Porter James, 4, and Annie
Blair, 10 months. Hannah is a nurse at Jackson Madison County General Hospital and Colton is a facility/construction manager at Hargett Materials, Inc.
Drew and his wife, Erica, have a daughter, Gracie Poe who is one year old. He is a project manager at Henkels and McCoy and Erica is a physical therapist at BenchMark.
