Brown Honored for Service by Rotary Club
From the Nov 26, 2024 e-Edition
McKENZIE (November 12) — The McKenzie Rotary Club recently paid homage to one of its longest-serving Rotarians, Clark Brown. Immediate past president and District 6760 Representative Jason R. Martin presented Brown with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is given to a Rotarian who has been devoted to the ideals of Rotary over the course of their life.
Martin said, “My Rotary story would not be what it is today without Clark. While Clark was the assistant governor, he was my mentor, as I was a fairly new Rotarian and incoming president of the Gleason club. The next year I was tabbed to be his successor as assistant governor. Clark was right there to advise and help with the transition. His passion for the Rotary Foundation later led me to my current role as the Paul Harris Society Chair.”
Last year, the McKenzie Rotary Club created the Clark Brown Rotary Champion Award. The award goes to a Rotarian who holds Rotary close to their heart and works to build Rotary International’s global footprint through the Foundation.
