Bulldogs Defeat South Fulton, Fall to Greenfield
From the May 5, 2026 e-EditionSOUTH FULTON (April 29) — The Gleason High School Bulldogs traveled to South Fulton High School Wednesday to begin the District 14A Baseball Tournament. First, they faced the host Red Devils in a play-in game and took the win, 7-4. Then, they faced Greenfield and fell 15-0.
South Fulton was eliminated with their play-in loss. Gleason's loss moved them into the loser's bracket for an elimination game the following day.
Gleason Bulldogs 7, South Fulton Red Devils 4
Gleason struck first with a run in the top of the first, then added another in the fourth. South Fulton got on the board with a run in the home half. The Bulldogs added two in the fifth and three in the sixth, and the Red Devils scored a run in the bottom of the sixth and two in the seventh.
Bulldog Parker Morgan was 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Trey Mayo was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Ashton Morgan was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Brody Sanders was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Jaxson Morgan was 1-for-4. Brock Dilday was 0-for-2 with an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases.
Red Devil Grant Joyner was 2-for-4 with a run scored. Braden Gore was 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs. Jayden Wilder was 1-for-2 with two walks and a run scored. Brady Parnell was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Mason Parrish was 0-for-1 with two walks.
Bryce Pettit earned the win for Gleason, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits while walking six and striking out seven in six and a third innings. Ty Keeling pitched the final two-thirds of an inning, allowing one unearned run on one hit and one walk while striking out two.
Charles Michael Mulcahy took the loss for South Fulton, allowing seven runs (five earned) on seven hits while walking three and striking out six in five and two-thirds innings. Mason Parrish threw the final inning and a third, allowing no runs on one hit with no walks and one strikeout.
Greenfield Yellowjackets 15, Bulldogs 0
Greenfield scored three runs in the bottom of the first frame, seven in the second, two in the third and three in the fourth to end the game early.
Yellowjacket Jace Thomas was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored. Anderson Hayes was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, an RBI and three runs scored. Easton Sullivan was 2-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base. Will Edwards was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base. Baker Biggs was 1-for-1 with three walks, an RBI, three runs scored and two stolen bases. Caden Sparkman was 1-for-1 with two walks, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base. Trey Morris was 1-for-1 with two walks.
Bulldog Ashton Morgan was 1-for-2.
Easton Sullivan earned the win for Greenfield, allowing no runs, hits or walks while striking out seven in three innings. Kaden Brauer pitched the final frame, allowing one hit and no walks with one strikeout.
Ashton Morgan took the loss for Gleason, allowing three earned runs on two hits while walking five in two-thirds of an inning. Drake Lehmkuhl pitched the final two and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 runs (eight earned) on eight hits while walking six and striking out five.
