From the Aug 6, 2024 e-EditionHUNTINGDON - Mr. Timothy “Butch” Wayne Owens, 64, of Huntingdon, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services are Friday, August 2, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Depriest officiating. Burial will be private for the family.
Pallbearers who will serve are Wesley White, Robert Pinkley, Mark Carey, Kelly Depriest.
The family will receive friends in the of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 12:00 P.M. until time of Service.
Mr. Timothy Owens was born on April 12, 1960 in Memphis, TN to the late Lemuel Richard Owens and Ellen Marie Sharp. He worked as a self-employed welder. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel Richard Owens and Ellen Marie May, and brother Lemuel Richard Owens Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Smothers; a stepson Walter Smothers of Tiptonville a stepdaughter, Kim Carroll (Bobby) of Huntingdon; a grandson, Cody Carroll; a sister Denise Orr (Jimmy) of Gibson; two nieces Jessica Heather Hill of Lagrange, Texas and Ericka Denise Hill of Puerto Rico.
