From the Nov 12, 2024 e-EditionMrs. Carolyn Saxon, 79, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Huntingdon Health and Rehab.
Funeral services were Saturday, November 9, 2024 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Dickinson officiating. Interment was in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Henry, Tennessee.
Pallbearers who will serve are Danny Ray English, George Henshall, James Thompson, Tara Thompson, Aric Dotson Jr. and Ronnie Bates
Mrs. Saxon was born September 25, 1945, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to the late Willie lee and Henrietta Josephine (Sawyer) Bates. She worked as a service rep for Bank of America. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Saxon, two daughters, Dana Ann Saxon and Dawny Gurley, a son, Aric Dotson Sr., and a grandson, Zachary Gurley.
She is survived by a sister, Rita Rowland, of Huntingdon, a daughter-in-law, Tammy Dotson, of Paris, five grandchildren, Danny Ray English, of North Port, Florida, Josh Thurston, of Jackson, Georgia, Robyn Gurley, of Patton, Missouri, Aric Dotson Jr. (Amber Dotson), of San Marcos ,Texas, Tara Thompson (James Thompson), of Henry, eight great-grandchildren, Brayden English, Annabell English, Tatyana Gurley, George Henshall, Wyatt Thompson, Owen Thompson, Declan Dotson, Jack Dotson. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
